Merry Christmas December, 2008 Dear family and friends, What a year it’s been for the Walkers. On Saturday, March 29th, our long-awaited first grandchild, Isaiah, arrived to Rob and Amy. Two weeks later on Sunday, April 13th,our first granddaughter, Lina, arrived to Joe and Young-Soon. This month on Monday the 8th, our third grandchild, Jarom, arrived to Jared and Jessica. A triple delight! With all our family in Provo, we decided to move to Provo. We sold our house in New York and are now residents of Utah. We sure do miss our friends in New York. We are highly blessed to be with family. Susan graduated from BYU this year. On April 23rd our son Ben left on his mission to Peru. On September 10th our daughter Gina left on her mission to Korea. Matt continues to work for Rob at the Game Den in Provo. They’re all doing great. Soona enjoys her time with the grandchildren and John is currently looking for work. May you be blessed this wonderful holiday season and have a happy new year! Ma & Pa Walker

Our new home in Provo

Come and listen to a story about a man named John A soldier in the Land of the Morning Calm, Then one day he was looking for some food, When appears the prettiest woman that he ever viewed... Soona that is. Yi Kwi Sun. Well, that's the short version of how Ma & Pa met, as sung to the Beverly Hillbillies T.V. show theme. During our twenty plus years in the Army, we were blessed with seven children. The oldest graduated from High School while serving a third tour of duty in South Korea. He moved to New Hampshire and went to college. His girlfriend's family moved to Utah just prior to his leaving to be a missionary. Two years later, after completing his mission, they were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos temple and settled in Utah; they currently reside in Provo. Our oldest daughter chose to come to Provo to attend college, then like dominoes, all seven of our children, and our three daughters-in-law, were eventually living in Provo. This year, 2008, our grandchildren started coming. Isaiah in March, Lina in April, and our next grandson in December. So we packed-up our bags and we moved to Provo! Coming from the state of New York, you first notice the Mountains. We live on the side of one called "Y" Mountain. Ever since we bought this house, we said we were going to climb this mountain. We went to the top of the "Y" last year (see the pictures above.) Yesterday, Pa finally went to the peak.
